Effective English Learning Apps (Part 1)

In this part I'll share about 2 apps for listening and speaking skills, and next week will be reading and writing skills. Everyone stay tuned!
1. Listening Practice App: WELE Web-App
As you already know, to listen well you need to listen a lot — even listen over and over — to learn how words are pronounced. And WELE Web-app http://wele-learn.com/ is exactly the app that meets that need for learners.
This is an app that lets you listen over and over to take dictation, check your transcript against the answer key, and analyze your mistakes. Dictation takes a lot of time and effort, but the results you get are definitely worth it. Many WELE members have applied this method and achieved a lot of success in their studies and their work in international environments.
WELE Web-app has been officially running since late September 2021, after more than 6 months of research and development by the admin team, and is now used by more than 30,000 members.
Once again, on behalf of the admin team, I'd like to thank all the members who have supported this project of ours.
2. Speaking Practice App: ELSA Speak
To speak well you need 2 factors: (1) accurate listening and (2) speak up. Accurate listening means listening to correct, native-speaker pronunciation. Speak up means you have to speak English yourself, whatever it takes.
I used to be really scared of speaking English because every time I mispronounced something I was afraid of being laughed at. But after going to an English Club one time, I completely changed. There, even though people's speaking skills weren't great, everyone was very confident talking with foreigners. I was still scared at the time, so I barely spoke and just stood there watching everyone with admiring eyes, asking myself "How can they do that?"
After that day, I realized that because I myself had too much fear when speaking English, if I didn't drop this barrier I would never be able to improve. I started over with a new mindset: if you make a mistake, fix it, and you don't need to be perfect. After that I spoke English more, made more mistakes, and gradually became more confident. Even now, when I speak better, I still make mistakes, but I always accept that and keep improving little by little.
Although I don't speak English as much now as I did when I was volunteering at Hanoi Free Tour Guides, I still always practice speaking English as much as possible. One of the pretty good speaking practice apps right now is ELSA Speak. I bought and have been using the lifetime ELSA Speak Pro version for over a year now. ELSA Speak Pro has helped me fix words I used to mispronounce while always thinking I was saying them right and learn a lot of useful phrases for communication.
For those who don't know yet, this is an app that uses AI to analyze each person's voice and create a practice roadmap suited to each individual. Practicing speaking with ELSA Speak, you won't have to worry about anyone laughing at you when you mispronounce something. Right now ELSA Speak has a very attractive promotion, with the lifetime package only just over 1.5 million, nearly 1/3 cheaper than the price I paid last year. If you don't want to buy the lifetime package, you can try the other 3-month, 6-month, and 1-year promotional packages, and check them out via the following link: https://vn.elsaspeak.com/affiliates-vnaff_no/?ref=1431
Use these 2 apps above to improve your listening and speaking skills, and share with us. This is also a way to support WELE so it can keep running and help you learn English better.
