From Zero to an Exciting Comeback: Reclaiming English

A few words of thanks to Wele

"Before I knew about Wele, English — especially Listening — was a 'mountain' I once thought I'd never reach the top of. I fumbled through every method I could think of, from listening to music to watching shows, but the results just stayed stuck in place. I gave up again and again out of frustration, exhaustion, and lack of direction, over and over, more times than I can count.

My biggest difficulty back then was not being able to find standard materials or a fixed roadmap, so I'd learn something one day and forget it the next. I still remember vividly the first day I tried the simplest listening exercise on Wele: I scored under 20%, and I couldn't even catch the most basic words. Back then, the fear of getting it wrong, the fear of speaking, took over me completely.

But the turning point came when I persisted, spending at least 5 minutes every day with Wele. Now, I'm truly overjoyed and proud of my own progress:

With A1-A2 listening exercises, I can now complete 70% on the very first listen, and for some exercises I even score a perfect 100%.

From someone who was afraid to speak, I'm now more confident and genuinely love expressing myself in English.

Wele has taught me this: English isn't a magic trick that happens overnight — it's the result of persistence. It's the dedication put into every listening exercise by the Mentors, and the positive energy from the community, that kept me going, even on my busiest days. In particular, the content of the listening exercises is so relatable that I could apply it right away in real life.

I'm grateful to the Wele team for always being so dedicated and enthusiastic, giving me the extra motivation to fall in love with English all over again!"

Thank you to everyone for giving me such an effective and meaningful website to learn English.
