Hey everyone, this week let’s listen to Spotlight English with host Thu Hằng. Have you ever felt that adult life is always filled with fatigue and worry? Have you ever thought about changing that to live better? If you have, consider trying this minimalistic lifestyle. Minimalism means many different things to different people. However, there are three things that most minimalists agree on:
First, Love what you do own because if you have fewer things, you will appreciate and cherish them more.
Secondly, Minimalism eliminates things that don’t bring joy. The way to do this is by picking up an item in your home; if it makes you happy, keep it. If it doesn’t make you happy, get rid of it immediately. With this approach, you will always be surrounded by things you like.
Finally, Minimalism helps us spend more time on relationships. When we live with fewer things around us, we will have more space for friends and family. When we slow down, we will have plenty of time for those around us.
In cases where people are struggling to have food and shelter, can they still live a minimalist lifestyle?
The answer is yes, because minimalism is actually about people and relationships, about a happy life and choosing what is important that brings joy, not about the things we own.
