Hey everyone, this week let's listen to the 6 minute English with admin Thu Hằng's narration. CRETAIL THERAPY is a term that refers to when someone is DOWN IN THE DUMPS (feeling down =))) they will go shopping (GO SHOPPING) and it will help them feel better, more comfortable. However, science also proves that you will feel A PANG OF REGRET when you buy a bunch of stuff that you may not even use. So this Christmas even if you don’t have a partner, don’t overspend on shopping okay
.
WELE will show you the items that people often buy when they feel DOWN IN THE DUMPS. First, we must mention food, along with some warm drinks (WARM DRINK, HOT DRINK) in this weather, curling up in a blanket, savoring a good book really makes you feel COSY (warm, comfortable, at ease) to the max :x.
Besides, some people like to buy WINE (wine) to drown their sorrows to lighten their sadness in this worldly realm. And of course, we can’t forget about clothes. Whenever you step into a beautiful, sparkling clothing store, all sadness dissipates into thin air.. The feeling of buying beautiful clothes that fit you is really DOES THE TRICK (achieves what you want) =)) However, many times when I'm sad, I buy clothes and then toss them all in the WARDROBE (wardrobe) without wearing them, not touching them at all, I feel REMORSE (regret) for wasting money =((. Don’t fall into this cycle like me, okay!!!
So how about you, when you are DOWN IN THE DUMPS what do you usually buy? Let WELE know okayyyy
