Hey everyone, this week let's listen to 6 minute English with an introduction from admin Trần Thu Nga
The phrase “clean vegetables” “safe vegetables” is one of the hottest keywords during the recent Tet holiday and in this listening session we will explore the reason why mothers - true keen gardeners - despite not having any land to grow plants still gather a lot of foam boxes at home and daily take care of them.
I believe it’s because mothers have a “green fingers” touch that makes plants thrive wherever they grow and they want to return to the old days to connect with nature, gardening in all weathers. Furthermore, mothers also say that gardening helps them relax and reduces anxiety.
My little brother is afraid of getting stung by nasty creepy-crawlies, getting scratches on his skin, or simply getting his hands dirty, so he really hates gardening.
In this listening session, we will together find out if it is really true that people consider gardening as an antidepressant drug, or a therapeutic remedy, or a natural high?
Finding happiness by getting your hands dirty, sounds weird but do people want to try it?
