Hello everyone, Christmas is coming with the cold breeze of winter winds, and I’m sure everyone wishes to celebrate Christmas in the arms of their loved ones, right? But what about those of you who don’t have a partner?

In the UK, as well as in many countries around the world, and I bet Vietnam has also been using Dating Apps, and today we will listen to the BBC's 6 minutes English about “Our brains and dating apps”.

Anyone who has used dating apps surely knows that the basic action in the app is SWIPE (moving your finger on the screen), left or right depending on whether you find the person attractive (ATTRACTIVE) or not. Dating Apps are a step forward in finding partners online (MEETING ONLINE) instead of traditional methods like being introduced by friends. In the audio, Alice Gray, a blogger and a science communicator, explains in more detail about the differences that occur in the brain when using the app and when meeting in real life. In dating apps, the decision (DECISIONS) whether you like someone or not is often instantaneous (INSTANTANEOUS/IMMEDIATE), while in face-to-face meetings, the brain works differently due to concerns about rejection (DEAL WITH REJECTION). She uses a series of phrases to talk about handling situations (GET OVER IT, DUST YOURSELF OFF, TO COPE WITH)

I wonder how everyone feels when using online dating apps in Vietnam, has anyone participated in “Would You Like to Date”? If so, please share with the group.
